Root supports a wide range of pens and markers, but not every brand or design will work. If the pen is too thin, try adding some tape to make the shaft thicker where Root holds it. Expo brand markers work very well with Root’s marker gripper. To ensure proper operation, insert the pen when the holder is raised and leave a small gap between the surface and the pen tip.
